About Me

My name is Susanna Ventura and I have been teaching since 2008. I have been at Mingus Union High School since 2016 and I have taught U.S. History, World History, AP World History, and the AVID elective.

I am a graduate of Mingus Union High School and Northern Arizona University, receiving my Bachelors of Social Work in 2005 and Masters of Elementary Education in 2007. I earned my credentials to teach high school in 2016.

My teaching career began in the Flagstaff Unified School District where I taught at Kinsey Community School and Sinagua Middle School. After returning to the Verde Valley, I taught at Mountain View Preparatory School for four years before joining the faculty at MUHS.

I love teaching and learning about history and am grateful for the opportunity to share my love of learning with young people in my community.

Communication is Key

Students are faced with more responsibility than ever before and communicating clearly and effectively with your teachers is one way you can be sure you are taking charge of your success . See the infographic to the right on how to properly email a teacher and feel free to reach out if you're not sure how to best stay in communication with your teachers.
